Estilo Abanico

The purpose of this video and dvd is to illustrate Estilo Abanico. Abanico is a fan, the type used to refresh oneself on a hot summer day. In the art of escrima, estilo abanico refers to a stick defense, which wards off strikes or thrusts coming from the front with a flick of the wrist. This is one of the fastest motions used to deflect an attack, allowing the defender time to resposition himself in a more favorable laoction or posture.
